UVM Medical Group Obstetrics and Midwifery provides specialized care for women experiencing complications in pregnancy.
Our board-certified physicians and certified nurse-midwives work together to provide early detection and treatment of complications of pregnancy, to offer you the highest quality pregnancy and birth experience.
We also care for women when there is a suspected or established fetal abnormaility, working as a team to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and counseling services.
Team Approach to Your Care
Our team includes physicians who are board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal and Fetal Medicine. Our nurse-midwives offer a team approach to complement the care of our high-risk physicians – offering education, counseling and support for a family’s transition into parenthood. In certain cases, the midwives can be available for a woman’s birth.
As an academic medical center, we take pride in our responsibility to provide care that is informed by the latest research. Our physicians receive the highest level of training in Obstetrics.
