Center for Pain Medicine Resources
If you are being seen as a patient at Fletcher Allen’s Center for Pain Medicine, we will inform you if you are coming for a consultation or a procedure. If coming for a consultation, please fill out the supplied questionnaire prior to your arrival and bring it to your appointment.
If having a procedure, we ask you to stop certain medications that may produce excessive bleeding. For a list of medications that need to be stopped prior to your procedure, please call us at (802) 847-3737. Please contact your primary care physician or cardiologist and do not stop any blood thinner without their authorization.
If you are scheduled to have a procedure and are taking antibiotics for an infection, we ask that you complete your antibiotic treatment as indicated by your physician. For your safety, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
If you are scheduled to have a procedure, we ask that you bring a driver to take you home after you have been discharged from the pain clinic.
If your imaging studies are not from Fletcher Allen, we ask that you bring your x-rays with you. They will be returned to you after your visit.
