Thoracic Radiology
This division is responsible for the performance and interpretation of conventional chest radiographs, chest CT studies, thoracic MR examinations including cardiac MR, and image-guided thoracic interventions including transthoracic needle biopsies and percutaneous drainage of intrathoracic collections.
The thoracic radiology section of the department of radiology at Fletcher Allen and the University of Vermont College of Medicine is comprised of the following individuals:

The division is responsible for the performance and interpretation of conventional chest radiographs, chest CT studies, thoracic MR examinations including cardiac MR, and image-guided thoracic interventions including transthoracic needle biopsies and percutaneous drainage of intrathoracic collections. In addition, the division provides consultative services on issues relating to thoracic imaging, and is responsible for resident teaching and conferences and a variety of weekly and monthly interdisciplinary conferences including daily work rounds for the critical care units, weekly resident teaching conferences, lung tumor conference, pulmonary medicine patient management conference, and pulmonary radiologic/pathogenic correlation conference.
The division is also actively engaged in clinical research projects on subjects such as high-resolution computed tomography in cystic fibrosis, CT-guided transthoracic needle biopsy, and image-guided drainage procedures.
