Where to get a Whooping Cough Vaccination
The Vermont Department of Health has classified whooping cough (pertussis) as an epidemic, and is urging all Vermonters over the age of 11 to get vaccinated.
Individuals can contact their primary care provider to request a vaccination.

Our Infectious Disease Team
Fletcher Allen's Infectious Disease program is staffed by full time board-certified University of Vermont Medical Group physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, a dietician, social workers, support staff, clinical research coordinators and infection control practitioners.
In addition to the clinical duties at Fletcher Allen, the staff is dedicated to teaching and research in their academic roles at the University of Vermont College of Medicine.
The department has close working relationships with University of Vermont Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and the Vermont Department of Health.
HIV/AIDS Care
Providing care for those living with HIV/AIDS is a strong focus of the staff. They coordinate four HIV/AIDS specialty clinics (Comprehensive Care Clinics) throughout Vermont, supported by Ryan White CARE Act funding.
The HIV/AIDS Comprehensive Care Clinics are a 4-clinic system providing state-of-the-art treatment for all stages of HIV/AIDS. All services are confidential and the first visit is free. Services include: free HIV testing, prevention counseling, confidential services and state-of-the-art medical care.
