Sports Medicine Outreach in the Vermont Community
Fletcher Allen sports medicine physicians are actively involved with area high schools, colleges and professional teams. They collaborate with industries and other organizations to improve equipment and facilities to make sports safer. They also provide sports medicine education to physicians, nurses, physical therapists, athletic trainers, coaches, parents and others. Nurses and support staff coordinate patient care.
Preparation for Your Visit
An appointment with a sports medicine physician for evaluation can be arranged with a referral from a physician, emergency room or walk-in care facility. Patients may also call directly for an appointment.
Please bring records of previous treatments and any pertinent diagnostic studies (X-rays, CT or bone scans, MRI, etc.). This will facilitate development of your comprehensive care plan. Note that financial coverage for sports medicine evaluation and treatment are subject to the conditions of your particular insurance policy.
