This well-organized site covers the causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis. Some of the topics covered are calcium, menopause, bone fractures, and estrogen. From the Osteoporosis Society of Canada, available in English and French.
National Osteoporosis Foundation
A national organization whose mission is to prevent osteoporosis, to promote lifelong bone health, to help improve the lives of those affected by osteoporosis and related fractures, and to find a cure.
International Society for Clinical Densitometry
A multidisciplinary, nonprofit organization that provides a central resource for a number of scientific disciplines with an interest in the assessment of skeletal health. The Society was founded in June 1993 as the result of a meeting of a group who recognized the need to bring disciplines together for this single purpose. The Society was the first of its kind worldwide.
