Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease," and other neuromuscular disorders are progressive, neurodegenerative diseases that affect the nerve cells that control muscle movement.
At Fletcher Allen, we provide diagnosis, treatment and management of neuromuscular diseases including ALS, peripheral nerve and neuropathic pain disorders.
Services are offered through our National ALS Center, Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic, International Post-Polio Foundation Clinic and General Neuromuscular Clinic with a strong emphasis on ongoing support for patients and their families.
