Memory loss can be a serious medical condition -- or simply a recurring forgetfulness that affects many of us. The Memory Center at Fletcher Allen can help you understand your memory condition and diagnose memory disorders before they lead to more serious medical problems.
The Center provides diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of age-related memory disorders -- and management of the conditions that may produce these disorders.
Patients are evaluated by a multidisciplinary team including a physician, social worker and neuropsychologist. During the initial evaluation, patients undergo a thorough medical history, physical examination and neuropsychological testing. Family support and counseling is an integral part of the treatment plan.
