Mood and Anxiety Disorders Care
Fletcher Allen offers evaluation and comprehensive treatment of mood and anxiety disorders at the Seneca Center clinic.
Conditions
We offer comprehensive care for the following mental health issues:
- Anxiety/panic disorder
- Depression
- Bipolar disorder
- Phobias
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
Treatment
Treatment includes:
- A full psycho-social and medical evaluation to determine program appropriateness and placement, as well as formulating initial treatment goals
- Individualized treatment planning
- Group cognitive behavioral therapy
- Pharmacological management
- Individual cognitive behavioral therapy
There are two levels of care:
Comprehensive Outpatient
In this level of treatment, each patient will receive time limited individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, weekly group CBT, and pharmacological management. This program is designed to take place over an 8-10 week period with an expectation that care will then be transferred back to community based providers.
Life Skills Group
This level of treatment offers a weekly skills group designed for adults whose primary diagnosis is a mood or anxiety disorder. The group is appropriate for adults who experience frequently recurring symptoms of their mood or anxiety disorder and would benefit from a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training in addition to their existing outpatient therapy.
Most participants will achieve remission of the presenting mood and anxiety symptoms, and then return to their primary care clinician for maintenance treatment.
