Fletcher Allen's Geriatric Psychiatry Service provides assessment and treatment of elderly patients with:
- affective and anxiety disorders
- neurodegenerative diseases
- late-life psychotic disorders
- other mental disorders of old age
This service is integrated with Fletcher Allen's Memory Center and Clinical Neuroscience Research Unit.
Individuals referred to Fletcher Allen's Memory Center are evaluated by a team of specialists that coordinates individualized treatment planning with the patient, his/her family, and the primary care physician.
Individuals referred to the geriatric clinic are evaluated and treated by a psychiatric resident and board-certified geriatric psychiatrist.
