Nuclear Cardiology
Nuclear Cardiology is a diagnostic discipline with effectiveness dependent equally on technology and highly skilled interpretation. The University Cardiology Associates use state-of-the-art hardware combined with sophisticated attenuation correction software to correct for artifacts and/or overlying body parts that affect image quality and lead to misinterpretation.
As a clinical practice with academic and research interests, we are actively contributing to improving diagnostic accuracy by elucidating and overcoming cognitive and technical limitations. We conduct more than 2500 studies each year,
The Nuclear Cardiology Laboratory is located at Fletcher Allen. The laboratory has 2 state-of-the-art dual-headed SPECT cameras.
