Hearing Loss

Hearing is one of our most powerful senses. It can be a source of pleasure - from hearing a child's laugh, to enjoying beautiful music, to soaking in the sounds of nature; and we also rely on our hearing for our safety and to communicate with others.

Loss of this important faculty can be a frustrating experience. But at Fletcher Allen, we're here to help.  Almost all types of hearing loss are treatable by an audiologist.  We offer two Audiology programs that address different needs associated with hearing loss.

What is an Audiologist?

Audiologists are professionals who evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage hearing loss and balance disorders in adults and children.
