Pediatric Radiology
Pediatric Radiology at Fletcher Allen is dedicated to providing the highest quality imaging for children in a child-friendly and safe environment. We provide imaging for children of all ages including the following exams:
- plain film radiography
- ultrasound
- CT
- MRI
- fluoroscopy
- nuclear medicine
Our Staff
There is one full-time and one part-time pediatric radiologist at Fletcher Allen. Dr. Janice Gallant, Division Director, has received extensive specialty training in Pediatric Radiology at Children's Hospital in Boston. She is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Pediatric Radiology. The Department of Radiology is fortunate to have many technologists who have special interest, training and expertise in working with children.
Our Hours of Operation
Routine pediatric studies are performed Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Technologists and radiologists are available after hours, on weekends and holidays to perform emergent or urgent exams requested by a referring physician.
Scheduling an Appointment
Scheduling of pediatric patients is done through Radiology Scheduling. Special patient needs such as sedation and/or special exam preparations are arranged at that time.
