The Vermont Children's Hospital provides highly specialized critical care for children with life-threatening illnesses or injuries in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Our specially trained physicians bring a high level of expertise in pediatric critical care medicine and provide experienced, compassionate care for children ranging from infants to young adults. As a university hospital, you can be sure your child’s care is informed by the latest medical knowledge, with access to cutting-edge treatments and therapies.

We offer a unique multidisciplinary approach to critical care, working collaboratively with pediatric critical care nurses, medical and surgical specialists, physical therapists, child life specialists, social workers, nutritionists and others to provide the best possible care for your child.

We are also committed to personalized, family-centered care and believe that involving the child's family as members of the health care team is vital to the recovery of the child. Knowledgeable staff members are always available to answer your questions and provide assistance to you and your family.
