Fletcher Allen, a Vermont university hospital and medical center, serves all of
Vermont and the northern New York region. Located in Burlington, Fletcher Allen is a regional, academic healthcare center and teaching hospital in alliance with the University of Vermont.
Research Billing Compliance
The 2010 affiliation agreement among Fletcher Allen, UVM and the UVM Medical Group requires that principal investigators obtain approval of a "billing plan" for studies involving Fletcher Allen patients or resources before enrolling study subjects.
The Fletcher Allen Integrity and Compliance Department has worked with the Office of Clinical Trials Research and the Research Protections Office to create a streamlined process for coverage analysis and billing plan approval.
The Integrity and Compliance Department will contact you once you have submitted a protocol to the IRB. Compliance and the IRB will perform their reviews concurrently. Final IRB approval will not be released until the Integrity and Compliance Department has approved a billing plan.
