Fletcher Allen and the University of Vermont College of Medicine average $79 million annually in extramural research awards and have more than 1,000 active clinical trials. The UVM College of Medicine has been nationally and internationally recognized for research activities, ranking in the top third of medical schools for federal research grants per faculty member.
