Debra Dulac Chosen to Lead Electronic Health Record System

Burlington, VT – Debra Dulac, RN has been named director of PRISM - Fletcher Allen’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.  As director, she will define, plan and assess EHR priorities within the organization and leverage clinical technology whenever possible to assist with healthcare operations.

Ms. Dulac has held a variety of leadership positions during the past 29 years at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, including most recently director of nursing informatics. She has led the implementation of many clinical systems, including Dartmouth’s EHR, with a focus on clinical documentation and orders, and was nurse champion responsible for clinical transformation during EHR implementation. 

All of Fletcher Allen’s patient services are now linked together through PRISM, which was initialized in June 2009 within inpatient areas, pharmacies and the Emergency Department.  Since December 2010, all clinic sites and patient services have been part of the system.

Ms. Dulac was previously a director of clinical information systems and director of nursing for a 24-bed orthopedic unit and a 50-bed medical surgery unit.  She has earned a BS in Nursing, an MBA, certifications in Nursing Informatics, and is a Certified Professional Health Information Technologist.
