Twenty-five thousand Vermont Children and Teens Need Mental Health Services
On Thursday, September 22, 2011, the Fletcher Allen Foundation and Jim Hudziak, M.D., Director of the Vermont Center for Children, Youth and Families at Fletcher Allen hosted a reception to build awareness and support of the Vermont Family Based Approach (VFBA) model.
VFBA and the Child Fellowship Program (Training of Child Psychiatrists in VFBA) meet a critical shortage for mental health professionals and services in our state and beyond. Success of this wellness model makes a difference in the happiness and wellbeing of Vermont youth and their families.
