An Integrated System of Care that Puts the Patient First

At Fletcher Allen, we have a strong track record for delivering "high-value" care – meaning care that is high-quality and low-cost for our patients. Providing high-value care depends on a great degree of coordination among providers. At Fletcher Allen, we are working to create an integrated health system in our state and region, by partnering with community hospitals and providers to streamline care.

Fletcher Allen works collaboratively with other health care organizations to strengthen the services available to patients throughout our community and region. Fletcher Allen has established affiliate relationships with five organizations:

These mutually beneficial partnerships allow:

• Patients at our affiliate hospitals to receive diagnostic and follow-up care from Fletcher Allen specialists close to their homes
• Fletcher Allen providers the opportunity to care for populations in rural areas with a unique set of health care needs – an important element in our organization’s vision to be a national model for the delivery of high quality academic health care for a rural region.
• Our affiliates access to the resources of our university hospital: cutting-edge therapies and technologies, specialists with advanced, research-based expertise, and a body of scientific knowledge that continues to grow and expand with every new discovery.

Through these relationships, we manage an extensive regional network of services, including regular outreach clinics provided by Fletcher Allen specialists, continuing medical education workshops, telemedicine services and the ongoing exchange of clinical information and best practices.

Working together, through a commitment to excellence and teamwork, we have created a network of care that joins the skills and resources of local providers with the expertise of our university hospital – to ensure that every patient receives the best there is to offer.
