American Stroke Association

The American Stroke Association is a division of the American Heart Association that focuses on reducing risk, disability and death from stroke through research, education, fund raising and advocacy.

National Stroke Association

National Stroke Association is the only national organization in the United States that focuses 100% of its efforts on stroke. National Stroke Association achieves its mission to lower the incidence and impact of stroke by developing compelling community outreach programs, calling for continued improvement in the quality of stroke patient care, and educating both healthcare professionals and the general public about stroke.

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) conducts and supports research on brain and nervous system disorders. Created by the U.S. Congress in 1950, NINDS is one of the more than two dozen research institutes and centers that comprise the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The NIH, located in Bethesda, Maryland, is an agency of the Public Health Service within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. NINDS has occupied a central position in the world of neuroscience for 50 years.
 

Stern Center for Language and Learning

The Stern Center evaluates and teaches more than 900 children and adults annually in all areas of learning, including reading, writing, spelling, math, oral language, study skills and social skills. The Center offers support for individuals with neurological impairments.

Visiting Nurse Association

VNA home care services include nursing, rehabilitation therapy, personal care assistance, and medical social services. The organization also offers a specialized home care team to care for patients needing assistance with mental health care needs.
