Since its opening, the center has been involved in several research programs. These have included studies of several medications to determine their effectiveness and safety. Several of these medications are now Federal Drug Administration-approved therapy. We have performed joint research with several other departments and divisions at the University of Vermont including rheumatology, orthopaedic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, oncology, and others.
