Information on the Employee Transfer Process
1) How do I login?
Once you click on the "here" link above, you will be brought to a Peoplesoft Sign In page.
Your User ID is your M number.
Your password is your regular network/Outlook password.
If you have any difficulty, or do not have a network/Outlook account, call 847-2822.
2) When I login to look at the current job postings, is it confidential?
Yes. When you look at the current job postings, no one is monitoring your activity.
3) Do I have to let my current Supervisor know if I apply for another job?
Employment Services encourages you to notify your Supervisor of your transfer request as soon as possible. At a minimum, HR Policy A-07 requires that you notify your Supervisor of your transfer request if you are contacted for an interview. Please be aware that the Recruiter and/or the Department Hiring Manager may do a reference check with your current Supervisor at any time during the application process.
4) Why do I have to apply for a position in a department where I am already working and the manager knows me? Similarly, why does my Online Application have to be up-to-date since I am already a Fletcher Allen Health Care employee?
We like to give equal access to internal candidates, which is why we post all of our positions for a minimum of seven days. There may be someone else in your department who is also interested in applying for the position. Updating your application with your current position and credentials not only allows you to market yourself as a candidate in the best way possible, it also enables hiring managers to compare and contrast candidates in an equitable manner.
5) What happens to my Online Application after it’s submitted?
Upon receiving your Online Application, an Employment Services Recruiter will complete an initial screening to review the following:
• Your qualifications
• Length of time in current position (must be at least six months)
• Most recent performance evaluation
• Attendance for the previous 12 months
• Any commendations / corrective actions received within the previous 12 months
If you meet the above criteria, your Online Application will be forwarded to the Department Hiring Manager for review. If you are selected to interview for a position, the Hiring Manager will contact you directly. Similarly, all job offers will be made by the Hiring Manager.
6) How can I check the status of my application?
After you apply, you may check your application status by clicking “Application Status” at the main menu of the Employee Home page. The Application Status page will show the jobs you have applied to and the status of your application.
7) What do the status codes mean?
