As chairman of the Fletcher Allen Board of Trustees, I am committed to ensuring that the Fletcher Allen Board conducts business in an open, transparent and inclusive manner. All board meetings include time for public comment. The board meets bi-monthly for full board meetings. These meetings include a public session in which all business items that are neither confidential nor proprietary are discussed. During off months, the board holds educational sessions that provide trustees with in-depth discussions of health care issues. Business items are sometimes discussed at these meetings as well.
