The Fletcher Allen Health Care Auxiliary, Inc. 

The Fletcher Allen Health Care Auxiliary, Inc., is made up of 200 volunteer members from the community, who support the mission of Fletcher Allen through financial contributions and the provision of services for our patients, their families and our staff.   

The Auxiliary is always looking for new members, and we would like to invite you to come join us in our support of Vermont’s academic health center.

What Does the Auxiliary Do?

The Auxiliary administers a variety of programs and entities that support Fletcher Allen, including the Fletcher Allen gift shops, Replays Resale Shop in South Burlington, baby car seat rentals, and the many special events which provide over $150,000 per year to fund health care initiatives and services across the organization.

During the past two years, the Auxiliary has completed a:

• Million-dollar pledge to Fletcher Allen’s Renaissance Project for the Breast Care Center; 
• $10,000 pledge to the Ambulance EKG Project
• $100,000 pledge to the Radiation/Oncology Department, with a pledge of $500,000 over the next five years
• $10,000 pledge to the Breast Care Center for their high-risk screening program.

The Auxiliary also provides ongoing support to a variety of programs and services, including the FAVORS Room Service program for inpatients; magazines and books for library services; stuffed animals for children in our Emergency Department; and special pillows and bags for our breast care and cardiac patients.   

Finally, the Auxiliary also supports special events, which not only raise funds for our programs and services, but are a lot of fun for all who attend!  These events include the very popular Bushels of Baskets Afternoon Tea, held in October each year, and several sales and raffles held throughout the year.

Aside from the rewards of helping support the hospital, Auxiliary members enjoy several events honoring their service, including special luncheons held at the Burlington Country Club which feature Fletcher Allen providers who speak on a variety of health topics.  

How Can I Join? 

We invite you to join the Auxiliary and volunteer for the Gift shops or Replays, volunteer to support the special events or volunteer to serve on the Board.
